Plays of Full-Length

Curiously, and paradoxically, my full-length plays are of a much more serious nature than my absurd, comedic shorts.

To read the first few pages of a play simply click on the title.

Should you wish to read the entire manuscript, or produce one, please contact me via my contact page. Thanks.

  • Rising  (2m, 3w)

A young man, Neil, has the capacity to see the future. In a vision he sees his father dying in a flood on the old family farm. Neil also sees himself dying in the attempt to save his father. Regardless of the seemingly inescapable consequences, he journeys to the farm in hope of altering the future.

Run time: 1 hr. 40 mins.

  • The Mirror Box  (2m, 2w)

In an undisclosed South American country, a volunteer coordinator is taken hostage by a band of revolutionaries. During her captivity she falls in love with the charismatic leader. Eventually she is released and returns to her previous life—suburban ennui. However, while watching a play, she realizes she was most alive while in the jungle with the rebels. Therefore she contacts the rebel leader and assists him with a daring assault that, theoretically, will set everyone free.

(But, honestly, that's not what it's about.)

  • Fate  (4m, 2w)

Runaways, Rockstar and Diamond, manage a meager existence by singing in city parks and on street corners. They’ve been able to temporarily escape their pasts, but, unfortunately, no one can run away from Fate.

  • aka Heaven  (6m, 2w)

Aka Heaven is the story of Jésus Sanchez, murdered nine years ago, returning from the dead three days before the wedding of his daughter Isabel. A U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent, Buck Sherlock, investigating the “Mexican killing field murders” arrives the same day.

  • Probable Cause  (2m, 1w)

Chris has designed a computer program which makes projections on missing persons being the result of a serial killer. Unfortunately, Chris has gone missing and is presumed murdered. Detective Morris arrives the night Rachel, Chris’ girlfriend, returns from a trip. Eventually both Morris and Rachel are implicated as killers. And Chris isn’t missing, or murdered, but seeking answers.
